SRUK understands the vital role that a support network can play in a person’s medical journey, whether that comprises of family members, friends or the medical team, and regardless of the diagnosis. To facilitate the provision of support networks, SRUK has 8 support groups in the UK; the leaders were recently approached for training offered by the Scleroderma Patient-centred Intervention Network.

In a bid to raise awareness of Raynaud’s phenomenon (RP) and to encourage individuals to be actively involved in their own healthcare, SRUK led an initiative to develop a ‘Raynaud’s test’ on their website for the online audience.

Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) has been awarded a consultation with The Difference Collective to enhance current communications. SRUK will get the chance to pick the brains of up to 10 of the Collectives top healthcare comms experts during a free one-hour brainstorming session.

Funding important research into medical conditions is a crucial way in which medical research charities improve people’s lives. When a condition is rare like scleroderma, then that research becomes even more vital.
