The Research Officer is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow and develop a broad research management skillset in a dynamic organisation as well as helping deliver benefit to those with Scleroderma and Raynaud’s.
This role is based in Central London although staff are currently remote/hybrid working due to COVID restrictions.
Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) is a new charity formed by the merger of two patient organisations, the Raynaud’s & Scleroderma Association and the Scleroderma Society.
SRUK is the only charity dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by Scleroderma and Raynaud’s, both autoimmune, connective tissue conditions. We exist to improve awareness and understanding of these conditions, to support those affected, and ultimately to find a cure.
Our ambitious new research strategy aims to accelerate patient benefit and focusses on partnering to deliver aspirational SRUK-led projects alongside a more traditional grant funding model. Through our work we aspire to deliver real and lasting change for people living with Scleroderma and Raynaud’s.
The Research Officer is a diverse and key role within SRUK interfacing with Governance, Fundraising and Comms and Supporter Services. Working with the Head of Research you will:
- Manage the SRUK Grants Award process
- Facilitate the delivery of the SRUK Research Strategy including where appropriate taking a lead on scoping and delivery of key elements within projects.
- Lead on the creation and dissemination of accessible scientific communications
This is a great opportunity for a pro-active, organised individual who is passionate about medical research to gain or increase their exposure to research management, science comms and strategy implementation within a medical research charity environment.
Salary: £25k- £30k pa (dependent on skills and experience), offered on a permanent, full-time basis.
