We partner with leading research teams from around the UK to promote research initiatives that patients living with Scleroderma and Raynaud’s can participate in. Read on to find the latest information about clinical trials, research studies, and other events and initiatives that you can get involved in.
Clinical Trials
The UPSIDE Trial
Help Improve Treatments for Systemic Sclerosis! Join the UPSIDE study, a European research effort aiming to find the best treatment approach for diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis (dcSSc). If you’re aged 18-65, diagnosed within the last three years, and want to make a difference, talk to your rheumatologist about participating. Learn more at: www.upsidetrial.com.
Research Studies
The HANDSOME Study
Many people with Scleroderma experience hand stiffness and loss of function, but we still don’t fully understand why. The HANDSOME study aims to find out who’s at risk and how to improve care. Now recruiting at the Royal Free Hospital London – get in touch to learn more: rf-tr.rheumatologyclinicaltrials.nhs.net
The INSPIRE-Flare Study
Get involved in rheumatology research being conducted at the University of Cambridge.
To take part, you need to complete a survey which asks about how you define flares in your condition, what triggers and prevents flares and the order of symptoms in flares. It should take about 45 minutes to complete, and you can pause or stop at any time.
Everyone who takes part can choose to be entered into a prize draw to win one of four £50 amazon vouchers when the survey closes, which will likely be in early June.
