This year’s Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 3 October is set to be the biggest marathon ever staged anywhere in the world, with an incredible 100,000 runners scheduled to take part. There will be 50,000 participants on the traditional course in London, and a further 50,000 taking part at home, every one of them playing a part in marathon history!
The virtual 2021 Virgin Money London Marathon will take place on Sunday 3 October and you will have 23
hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds (from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 BST on 03/10/2021) to complete the 26.2 miles, which you can choose to run, walk or jog
The Official Virgin Money London Marathon App will allow you to track and log your marathon, and its special features will really help bring the virtual experience to life, with an exclusive audio commentary featuring famous voices providing a memorable soundtrack to the day.

Already have a place?
If you have already secured a place through the event organisers we would welcome you to join #TeamSRUK as an Own Place runner. To join as an Own Place runner you must have already received your place and paid your entry fee directly to the event organisers. As an Own Place runner there is no minimum sponsorship required but every penny you raise helps support our vital work.
