Edinburgh Half Marathon

Fast and flat, the Edinburgh Half Marathon follows the marathon course, which was voted the fastest marathon in the UK by Runners World; ideal if it's your first half marathon or you are looking for a PB. The Edinburgh Half Marathon has sold out every year since 2012 and is one of the largest half marathons in the UK.

This amazing course passes beautiful sites like Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament, and continues through Holyrood park under the gaze of Arthurs seat, a dormant volcano. The course then stretches along the coast in the sea breeze before heading past Musselburgh Links, the oldest golf course in the world, before finishing at the playing fields of Pinkie St Peters Primary School.

Already have a place?

If you have already secured a place through the event organisers we would welcome you to join Team SRUK as an Own Place runner.

To join as an Own Place runner you must have already received your place and paid your entry fee direct to the event organisers. As an Own Place runner there is no minimum sponsorship required but every penny you raise helps support our vital work.

We recommend you break your target into manageable chunks and create a plan to help you reach your goals.
