Ella, from Liverpool, was diagnosed earlier this year with Linear Scleroderma coup de sabre.

When her parents noticed an unusual mark on her forehead that was getting worse, they struggled to get answers. It was only after contacting SRUK that the family were able to secure an urgent referral, enabling Ella to begin treatment at Alder Hey Hospital the very next week.

Despite the challenges of regular hospital trips, steroid infusions and weekly injections, Ella has shown remarkable determination. In July, she joined her mum, stepdad and brother in climbing Snowdon to raise money for SRUK, completing the ascent and raising over £2,000.

Chelsey Brockley, Ella’s mum, said:

“We are so proud of Ella for taking on this incredible challenge. SRUK has been a lifeline for us, helping Ella get the diagnosis and treatment she urgently needed. Fundraising is our way of giving back and knowing that Ella’s efforts will help other families means so much.”

Gemma Cornwell, Head of Fundraising & Engagement at SRUK, said:

“A massive well done to Ella, climbing Mount Snowdon is a huge achievement – especially at such a young age. We’re very thankful and proud that she has raised over £2,000 for SRUK. This incredible fundraising feat will make a real difference to our community.”
